about us

The Family Faith Health Clinic (FFHC) provides primary care integrated with spiritual care for the medically uninsured and underinsured in the Greater Houston, Texas area.

Every person in the inner city of Houston has access to compassionate, quality medical care coupled with faith-based spiritual care to reduce health disparities that exist in the Greater Houston area.

We value faith, compassionate healthcare, and the community we serve. We abide by Biblical values and principles of honesty, transparency, love, and kindness to the poor and disenfranchised.

 We bring health screenings to the community in a familiar environment with love and compassion, and insurance for the non-insured with information 

CARLA M. DAVIS, MD

Carla M. Davis, MD, Director of the Division of Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology, Professor of Pediatrics and Immunology & Microbiology, and the Janie and Sandra Queen Endowed Chair in Immunology and HIV/AIDS at Baylor College of Medicine, has dedicated her career to preventing and treating allergic and immunologic diseases and mitigating health disparities.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Howard University, her medical degree from Duke University and completed her residency in pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston in 2000.

Carla M. Davis, MD, Director of the Division of Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology, Professor of Pediatrics and Immunology & Microbiology, and the Janie and Sandra Queen Endowed Chair in Immunology and HIV/AIDS at Baylor College of Medicine, has dedicated her career to preventing and treating allergic and immunologic diseases and mitigating health disparities.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Howard University, her medical degree from Duke University and completed her residency in pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston in 2000. After a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Baylor College of Medicine, she joined the faculty in the Section of Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology, where she has remained for over 2 decades. She has received several awards, including the Norton Rose Fulbright L. L. P. Faculty Excellence Award, the Texas Medical Association Academic Excellence Gold Award, Top Doctor by the Texas Monthly Magazine, a Doctor of Excellence by the Board of Leaders of Healthcare Providers of Excellence and has been nominated as a member of “America’s Best Physicians” by the National Consumer Advisory Board.

Dr. Davis is also passionate about community educational and diversity initiatives. She is passionate about serving as a role model and supportive mentor to others balancing work and family. She wants to improve the quality of life of children through advancement in medical diagnosis and treatment. She is a member of the Friendship Community Bible Church and serves on the Board of Directors of The Impact Movement ministry.

Eric j. DAVIS, esq

FFHC is pleased to introduce to you the Vice President of our board, Eric J. Davis, ESQ!

Eric Davis is a practicing attorney who is currently employed at the Harris County Public Defender’s Office in Houston. Mr. Davis has been practicing law since 1994. He is a proud graduate of Howard University, Tulane University Law School, and the Trial Lawyer’s College.

Mr. Davis’s passion for law has led him to have a very successful career in law. He has been featured in the Houston Chronicle for a wrongful imprisonment case and the New York Times and a capital murder case that was dismissed. Mr. Davis has received multiple recognitions.

B. KEITH ELLIS, MD

Dr. Ellis is the Director of Cardiovascular Services and the Director of the Chest Pain Center at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, and has been the Director of Nuclear Cardiology for Diagnostic Cardiology of Houston since 2009.A recognized member of the American College of Cardiology Peripheral Vascular Disease Committee, Dr. Ellis has published a number of scientific manuscripts and book chapters on coronary artery disease, and valvular heart disease. Additionally, Dr. Ellis has presented his data at the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association national meetings.

Over the years, Dr. Ellis has won Male Physician of Excellence and Most Respectful awards at the Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital Doctor’s Day Ceremony.

WANDA T. MOTT, MD

Dr. Wanda Thornton Mott has practiced as a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist in Texas for more than 20 years in the Texas Medical Center. As a gynecological clinician and surgeon, her hallmarks include educating patients and providing cutting edge medical and surgical care. She is experienced in minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, robotics ablation. As a world-renowned leader and expert in her field, Dr. Mott is recognized by her peers as one of America’s Top Obstetrician and Gynecologist. In 2017, Dr. Mott received the National Consumer Advisory Board Award; Americas’ Best Physician based on superior training, experience, continued education and commitment to excellence.

Dr. Mott is sought after on local, national and international lecture circuits for her talks on Nutrition, Women’s Health, Teen Sexuality, Teen Pregnancy and Hormone Replacement Therapy. As a professional woman of leadership and compassion, she serves our communities in many capacities. She is dedicated to decreasing health disparities and improving the health of the community. Dr. Mott is a proud Houstonian and a product of Houston schools and a member of Windsor Village United Methodist Church.

GARY J. WHITE, CPA

Gary is a dedicated CPA with many years of experience in tax preparation and consulting. He also specializes in developing and implementing financial systems, strategies, processes, and controls that significantly improve profit-and-loss scenarios. He’s the founder and organizer of a successful accounting firm that meets the intricate needs of businesses navigating both the public and private sectors. Additionally, he consults with various startup businesses on structuring entities to take advantage of tax laws without compromising liability and integrity.

Gary is the treasurer of Faith, Family & Health Clinic and assisted with it’s organization.

He is committed to serving his community with his financial skills and hands-on skills whenever possible. Gary has also served on other non-profit boards in their development and sustainability.

He is a devoted Christian and member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, a loving father of two, and a husband to his supportive wife, Wealthia White.

JUNE BARTHOLOMEW

We are proud to introduce June Bartholomew, an experienced Senior Commercial Real Estate Management professional and a dedicated Board Member of Family Faith Health Clinic!

With over 18 years of experience managing and leasing properties for corporate and government entities, June is highly skilled in navigating complex lease negotiations and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.

As a key leader at FFHC, June applies her expertise and passion for community leadership to support our mission of providing accessible healthcare to uninsured and underinsured communities. Her commitment to serving others extends beyond FFHC-she is also a volunteer at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and a devoted member of Friendship Community Bible Church.

BOBBYE MILLS

We are thrilled to introduce to you the Secretary of our Board, Bobbye Mills! Bobbye Mills is a proud native of Monroe, Louisiana. She has served as the Broker of Record for Summit Properties-BJ Mills for the past 30 years.

Ms. Mills is a graduate of Southern University at Baton Rouge, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a concentration in real estate. After starting her own business, Ms. Mills then earned a Master of Architecture with a concentration in Community Development from Prairie View A&M University.

Ms. Mills has successfully built over 24 units of new construction along with the serving in other roles within the real estate industry. Ms. Mills is a passionate advocate for building healthy communities, and remains committed to volunteering her time and talent to make a difference!
